New Training Item/ Training Arena

Instead of water bowls, this item will help train dogs (lower TP dogs) a little bit quicker :3

What does the item do? It will add either +50 or +100 TP to a selected stat. It will NOT train over what your dogs actual TP is, though.

The items can be separated by the skill to be trained.

For example:

Basic Training Tunnel (trains +50 to tunnel skill)
Regulation Training Tunnel (trains +100 to tunnel skill)

and there would be one for every skill.

They will NOT be cheap, and will in no way make training high TP dogs easy. I was thinking along the lines of 80k for the +50 one and 150k for the +100 one.

How will this not be cheap? Well, let's just calculate training a 1k TP dog

Using only these things to train the dog (I will use the +100 ones as an example) it would cost 1.5 mill. That is by no means cheap, nor is it something people would probably do.

So what -is- the point of such an item?

1. If you are only one skill away from maxing a dog and you are impatient, wala! there's an item for that now!
2. It will help drain some money from the game

I was thinking these items could have their own special shop - like a training equipment shop?

Perhaps along with this you could take your dog to a training arena where a random stat is trained +10% (it wouldn't work on stats that are already maxed) -- not sure what the price of this would be, maybe it would depend on the TP of the dog?

Anyway, just a few ideas for impatient dog owners who have money to spend :3

It's beneficial for people who are almost done with maxing a dog, ran out of sessions, the dog ran out of energy... whatever the cause that they need to wait extra to finish up a dog.

It's a luxury item, just like insta pups, to speed up a process a little.

Sure you can train a 950 TP dog but how much time does it take?

Let's say someone has their dog 100 TP away from done, but they just ran out of sessions for the day - then what? They can either wait until the next day where they not only have to use up more sessions but also have to wait for the dog to recover energy so it takes another day's worth of training.

You may not see the point in it, maybe you don't get the urge to have a dog finished when it's so close to done and you have to wait another day, or two, but I know I have and I doubt I'm the only one.

It's not an item designed to train a dog in a day - it's an item designed to rush the end of a training, pretty much.

Also, I know a LOT of people who spend 75k to buy a MRB to finish up training on a dog - a MRB gets +200 TP at max IF all the energy it gives and sessions used give +2 each time.

Why do people buy insta pups? You can just wait for the bitch to have pups.

Because there is instant gratification. This is a huge marketing deal, corporations know the faster someone gets what they want from their product the more repeat buys they will have. Think of fast food, that is instant gratification to a T.

I guess I was confused with this? "Basic Training Tunnel (trains +50 to tunnel skill)
Regulation Training Tunnel (trains +100 to tunnel skill)"

We have Magic Food Bowls [trains a dog 50%] so.. I'm a bit confused. I really don't understand why 50K per 50+TP would be beneficial when I can max a 950TP dog for someone for 50K :S

The item is meant to train the last bit of a dog quickly, really, it's not meant to be used in bulk to train a whole dog. If the price was lowered too much more then that's exactly what people would use it for.

Unless there was a certain way to make it so dogs with only x amount of TP and lower could use it, I just really can't see the price being too much lower. Of course that would be up to admins if this item got through, and if they think it's alright for it to be cheaper then I would be fine with it myself, it's just the matter of the game that has to be put into the solution -- if you lowered it to 10k, then people could train up dogs really quickly for hardly a cost.

Perhaps going as low as 55k for the +50 and 100k for the +100 would be alright, since its charging way over the going rate for a session, which is fair to do since it's going to do all the training without taking up energy or using sessions :3

I support the idea.

Making an item that does a set +50tp or +100tp will not be useful for high TP dogs, but really nice for lower tp dogs. This idea is clearly meant to be a luxury item akin to insta pups. It is just for impatient people who want to get that last bit of TP trained, not support cheaply maxing TP monsters.

I support what Gamzee said. :3 Seems like it could be a good idea if the price is decent.

edit// But who is going to spend that kind of money on maxing a low tp dog quicker? That's a lot of money to spend on something that does just a little. That low tp dog probably won't even bring back 150k from all it's trials.

its not half a skill, it's a flat +50 TP :)

If it's lowered too much then people wouldn't be happy because people would be using it to max high TP dogs.

I support the idea but I don't support the high prices. It just seems too high to be worth it.
I don't know any user who would choose 80K for half a skill.
Maybe if the prices were lowered quite a bit [I'm talking 10K for half a skill] it would be a good item
